Location:  Central Queensland Health Obstetrics and Gynaecology team, Rockhampton Region

About us:

The Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department offers Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) accredited registrar training as well as experience for Rural Generalists and GP Obstetricians. All trainees are well supported by Consultant staff.

The Department provides maternity care services for approximately 1,350 deliveries annually, through a mixture of Shared Care, Continuity Midwife teams and multidisciplinary High-Risk Clinics. The Maternity Unit is supported by a level four (≥32 weeks) special care nursery. The department also provides level five laparoscopic and major gynaecological surgical services with twelve to fourteen scheduled operating theatre lists per fortnight.

About the role:

Assist the Director, Staff Specialists and Senior Medical Staff in ensuring Obstetrics and Gynaecology services across Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service are delivered to the highest clinical standard. Under the supervision and guidance of senior medical staff, you will initiate, manage and maintain the clinical care of patients, contribute to the planning and coordination of patient management and discharge requirements, and support the delivery of high-quality women’s health services.

About you:
You will possess a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent qualification that enables registration with the Medical Board of Australia, along with a current Advanced Life Support certificate. While not mandatory, current AHPRA registration and a minimum of two years’ experience within the Australian healthcare system would be highly regarded, together with additional certifications in Neonatal Resuscitation and Foetal Surveillance.

What we offer: 

Total remuneration value of $177,890 p.a. is comprised of:

•           A salary rate between $134,489 - $155,125 p.a. (L4 - L9)

•           A salary rate between $134,489 - $147,585 p.a. (L4 - L7)

•           12.75% employer superannuation contribution

•           17.5% leave loading
