Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) is Tasmania’s largest hospital and major referral centre and has the only tertiary NNICU in the state. The Women’s and Children’s Service at RHH offers a comprehensive service including 24-hour labour ward coverage, with over 2000 births per annum, with both simple and complex care requirements. This is an exceptional and unique opportunity for a Level 5 or 6 trainee with an interest in ultrasound and high-risk obstetrics to undertake advanced training within the public and private sector. Ultrasound training in both obstetrics and gynaecology will be provided at the RHH and Women’s Imaging, and obstetric skills will be advanced through the care of high-risk pregnancies, in the Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) clinics and on labour ward. The position is aimed at trainees who would like to commence the DDU (Diploma of Diagnostic Ultrasound, Obstetrics and Gynaecology) and would suit both those considering subspecialty training (CMFM or COGU), or those wishing to remain generalists with a special interest. In addition to clinical duties, the successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and coordination of multidisciplinary meetings, including the perinatal morbidity and mortality meeting, and the perinatal management group meeting. Salary $134,930 - $189,005 per annum Salary range is in accordance with the Medical Practitioners Agreement 2022 |
