St John of God Midland Public Hospital, we provide a comprehensive range of services including emergency medicine, critical care, day chemotherapy, paediatric care, aged and stroke care, maternity and general surgery. Our 307-bed public hospital is operated under a public-private partnership between the State Government and St John of God Health Care. 

Your Role at St John of God Midland Public Hospital

As a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality clinical services and shaping the future of women's health within a collaborative and highly regarded senior medical team, dedicated to providing exceptional care to women and families across the Midland, Swan Valley and Wheatbelt communities. To be successful in this position, you will hold Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) or equivalent. Applicants who are expected to achieve their FRANZCOG qualification within the next 4 to 6 months are also welcome to apply.

The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate the ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams effectively, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care at both an individual and service level. The successful candidate will actively participate in departmental rosters and on-call duties and provide clinical services as required.

It is expected that the candidate maintain currency in fetal surveillance through successful completion of an accredited face-to-face CTG course (such as FSEP or equivalent), as well as an emergency obstetric management course (such as PROMPT, MOET or equivalent) every three years, supported through professional development leave and funding entitlements.
