Cairns Hospital is seeking Senior Registrar applications for 2027. Cairns is a busy provincial hospital in Tropical Far North Queensland offering some unique training experiences, including the chance to travel to and work in outreach settings which are amongst the most remote and beautiful in the state.
There will be some flexibility within the role depending on the training needs and special interests of the trainee. There will be great opportunities in general Gynaecological surgery, colposcopy, and complex Obstetrics and Obstetric medicine . There will be ample opportunities for involvement in quality improvement, governance, and teaching across all levels.
Cairns is known for their collaborative approach, and excellent workplace culture, with an encouraging and supportive group of senior staff. We enjoy close working relationships with our rural Obstetric colleagues, and our senior registrar will contribute to the training of our next generation rural maternity workforce whilst working in Cairns.
