Location:   Central Queensland Health Obstetrics and Gynaecology team, Rockhampton Region About us: The Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department offers Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) accredited registrar training as well as experience for Rural Generalists and GP Obstetricians. All trainees are well supported by Consultant staff. The Department provides maternity care services for approximately 1,350 deliveries annually, through a mixture of Shared Care, Continuity Midwife teams and multidisciplinary High-Risk Clinics. The Maternity Unit is supported by a level four (≥32 weeks) special care nursery. The department also provides level five laparoscopic and major gynaecological surgical services with twelve to fourteen scheduled operating theatre lists per fortnight.
