Finishing your O&G training and wondering what comes next? Or perhaps you're already a Fellow and looking for a private practice where you can build the career you want, with the support of an established team around you.

Greenslopes Obstetrics & Gynaecology (GOG) is seeking an O&G specialist to join our busy private practice at Greenslopes Private Hospital in Brisbane from early 2027.

We welcome applications from current FRANZCOG Fellows across Australia and New Zealand, as well as trainees completing their final requirements in 2026 and expecting specialist registration in early 2027.

We can accommodate a full-time position or offer a flexible working arrangement, including the opportunity for two O&Gs to job share a full-time role.

Moving into private practice can be a big step. At GOG, you won't be doing it alone.

You'll join a well-established and collegiate group of 10 O&Gs who value collaboration, knowledge sharing and supporting each other. For newly qualified specialists, you'll have experienced colleagues around you as you establish your private practice and develop your areas of interest.

Our practice has strong and sustained demand across both obstetrics and gynaecology, providing the opportunity to establish a busy patient base from the outset and shape your practice to suit your professional interests and preferred workload.

Everything you need, all in one place

GOG is located onsite at Greenslopes Private Hospital, giving you direct access to an established maternity unit and the clinical support of a major private hospital.

The hospital campus offers:

·         24/7 paediatric support from a large neonatal and paediatric team

·         a special care nursery for babies born from 32 weeks

·         ICU and anaesthetic services

·         pathology and blood bank services

• access to a broad range of surgical and medical specialties.

Within GOG, you'll work from modern, well-equipped consulting rooms, with surgical assistants available and technology such as AI-assisted transcription helping to make day-to-day practice easier.

Our patients can also access complementary services within the practice, including a six-week paediatric check, women's health physiotherapy and endocrinology.

And on a practical note, there's convenient parking directly beneath our rooms.

A roster designed with life outside work in mind

We know a sustainable O&G career needs to work outside the consulting room too.

Our on-call arrangements are designed to share the load across the group, with approximately one in nine on-call weekends, and rosters planned up to 12 months in advance – giving you greater certainty when planning work, family life and time away.
