Purpose of the role Redlands Hospital is a moderate sized obstetrics and gynaecology service birthing approximately 1700 women per year. We are a cohesive and compassionate team of doctors led by Senior Medical Officers (SMOs) alongside a large midwifery and nursing group. The Team: The role is part of the Launceston General Hospital which is Tasmania’s second largest hospital. Our level 5 unit has approximately 1600 births per year. There is a neonatal unit providing care from 32 weeks gestation.
