OGB are pleased to offer a training position as Senior Registrar in O&G for 2027.  OGB provides private Obstetric care for over 500 women per year.  There are also approximately 1500 births per year at Grampians Health, Ballarat, and our Senior registrars will have the opportunity to contribute to this public service. OGB provides over 2500 Gynaecology procedures for our patients per year in a group practice setting, with a significant number of procedures being performed through the public system. This position provides the Trainees with the opportunity to work in an environment which provides intensive and consistent training in the areas of complex laparoscopic surgery, including laparoscopic Hysterectomy; complex, site specific pelvic floor surgery, and Gynaecological ultrasound encompassing assessment and diagnosis of endometriosis. This role is fixed term (28/12/2026 - 04/04/2027) covering within the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Specialty within the Clinical Operations division. The position is full time, however fractional appointments and shorter periods of appointment can be considered for suitable applicants. The responsibilities of the role are to provide highest standards of Obstetrics and Gynaecology practice, support to the medical education effort in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and other relevant clinical services for patients of Bendigo Health, as well as supervision and training of junior medical staff.
