We are seeking talented and enthusiastic professional looking to complete their speciality training working in a senior role, while supporting Registrars and Resident Medical Officers. This position will be best suited to a level 5 or 6 trainee. The Team: The role is part of the Launceston General Hospital which is Tasmania’s second largest hospital. Our level 5 unit has approximately 1600 births per year. There is a neonatal unit providing care from 32 weeks gestation. The unit enjoys a collaborative relationship between midwifery and obstetric staff with several models of midwifery care being offered as well as care of high risk pregnancies by the obstetric staff. Comprehensive gynaecological services are provided by the unit. Up to level 6 laparoscopy is offered as well as hysteroscopic procedures, urogynecological procedures at a generalist level, and more traditional open and vaginal surgery.
