Purpose of the role The Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellow role at Logan Hospital provides a training opportunity for senior registrars or junior FRANZCOG consultants, working towards training in the Certificate of Maternal Fetal Medicine. The unit is anticipated to hold an accredited training place in 2027. The MFM Unit at Logan Hospital provides a tertiary subspecialty service to patients in the Metro South Catchment inclusive of tertiary level ultrasound and consultation and invasive procedures. The Department operates as a multidisciplinary team inclusive of MFM midwives and sonographers and close links to Obstetric Medicine, Neonatology, paediatric subspecialties and prenatal genetics. Logan Hospital anticipates uplift to a level 5 NICU in 2027.
