Our reputation in clinical practice attracts referrals from around the South Island of New Zealand, and provides an excellent base for teaching in obstetrics, gynaecology and women's health. Our major teaching responsibility is the MB ChB course. We have a comprehensive registrar training programme directed towards specialist qualifications. We also convene the Postgraduate Diploma of Obstetrics and Medical Gynaecology, and Certificate in Women's Health, which are particularly suitable for GPs, midwives and other primary care practitioners.
