Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) is one of South Australia’s largest healthcare providers and is recognised as a leader in health service provision, clinical teaching, training and research. SALHN is unique in the State public health system as it provides services across the lifespan, from obstetrics, maternity and neonatal services, to end of life care.

With over 3700 births a year the maternity service is a dynamic and important part of the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network. Maternity services are provided to our community through the collaboration of Specialist Obstetricians, Midwives, GPs, Perinatal Mental Health and Specialist Paediatric and Neonatal services.
Flinders Medical Centre is a level 6 hospital and is the state maternity trauma retrieval centre for South Australia with Neonatal and adult Intensive care units.
