Albury Wodonga Health (AWH) is a unique cross-border health service that operates under the jurisdiction of the Victorian Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS). Providing the Best of Health to more than 250,000 people, across an area spanning North East Victoria to Southern New South Wales, AWH has grown to be the second-largest regional health service in Victoria and provides healthcare services comparable to metropolitan centres.
AWH is a 337 bed health services that treated over 61,000 emergency presentation, more than 40,000 inpatients, and delivered 1650 babies in the last 12 months. Services are provided from 17 sites across North East Victoria and Southern New South Wales. There are 30 sub-acute beds, 95 mental health beds, five intensive care beds, sever operating theatres, and 117 general beds. Currently plans are underway for the expansion of the Albury Emergency Department and Specialist Clinics plus a new mental health rehabilitation residential service at the Wodonga campus. AWH also manages a range of community based residential facilities and community health centres.
