About the Department The Royal Women’s Hospital is the largest public provider of abortion care in Australia providing surgical and medical abortion within the legal frame work as described in Vic Abortion Law reform 2008. The Abortion and Contraception Service at the Women’s are structured to provide quality care to women by the most appropriately qualified clinician with the principles of patient centered care and informed choice at the center of all we do.
