Overview
You will be responsible for managing the integrated care of patients admitted to the Gawler Health Service Midwifery Ward. Contributing to the provision of high standard clinical services to Gawler and it's surrounding areas, you will provide all antenatal care in conjunction with Midwives and assist with all deliveries needing medical input. As part of your role, you will contribute to Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network (BHFLHN) committees and review Quality and Safety within the Gawler Health Service. Registered with the Medical Board of Australia, you will have Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP), Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM), and/or Vocational Recognition as a General Practitioner. You will also possess significant GP Obstetric skills and experience with successful completion of training statement from the Royal Australasian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG), or Fellowship with RANZCOG (or equivalent), eligible for registration as a Specialist with the Medical Board of South Australia. With proven skills in problem solving and decision making at both the clinical and individual level, you will work well within a multidisciplinary team environment and demonstrate a commitment to patient and relative participation in patient care.
