We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with experience in or an interest in learning Fertility/IVF to join our committed team to provide quality Obstetric and Gynaecological services within Fertility Tasmania located in Hobart, Tasmania.

This is an opportunity for an experienced OBGYN looking for a sea change or a recent RANZCOG Fellow seeking to start their career.

Potential scope of practice includes the management of high-risk pregnancies, a broad range of general gynaecology encompassing office diagnostic/procedural work, ultrasound and colposcopy as well as full service IVF treatment. Credentialling is available for both public and private hospitals for deliveries and full service gynaecological surgeries.

Essential requirements:

Specialist registration or eligible for specialist registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) and/or equivalent specialist recognition

Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident

Evidence of clinical expertise

Desired requirements:

•      Evidence of maintaining medical professional development with the ability to assist other staff in the acquisition and development of knowledge.

•      Evidence of being a skilled communicator, including both oral and written skills, communicating with patients, other health professionals and the public. 

•      Evidence of being a collaborator, including the ability to network and operate within an interdisciplinary framework and to work with other stakeholders in a variety of settings. 

•      Evidence of being a professional, including continued professional development, peer review and other forms of clinical governance. 

•      Evidence of being an advocate, including contributions to improving individual and societal health.
