A unique opportunity is currently available for a suitably experienced and enthusiastic Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist to join our team based in Kalgoorlie Health Campus.
This is a Fixed Term Full Time appointment for 5 years, with the possibility of extension(s).
Position Profile: We currently have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who will be responsible for the specialist clinical care of Obstetric and Gynaecological patients attending Kalgoorlie Health Campus as well as specialist clinical services across the region. Although based in Kalgoorlie, this role will offer you the chance to travel across the Goldfields region to beautiful sites such as Esperance and the Lands. You will have cultural and gender awareness especially for aboriginal patients and will be able to deliver a specialist service to the aboriginal community. As part of this role, you will also be able to provide leadership and deliver excellent clinical performance as well as administrative leadership in combination with the Clinical Nurse Specialist of Maternity. You will be able to participate in policy development and review for clinical governance and work collaboratively with other clinical practitioners. Please note the Department’s vision is to improve local access to ambulatory gynaecological procedures and is looking for a motivated clinician who would be able lead the development of such services.
Suitable candidates must be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and be a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists or equivalent.
