Albury Wodonga Health has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Registrar in Obstetrics & Gynaecology to join our O&G team for the 2022 clinical year. This position suits a Level 5 or 6 trainee who wishes to improve their gynaecological surgery skills, operative obstetrics, reproductive medicine and ultrasound. The position is recognised as the busiest gynaecological surgery positions in Australia.
The role is available to Registrars who have completed their written and oral FRANZCOG examinations.
The department is vibrant and supportive and the successful applicant will have a busy gynaecology workload with a wide range of procedures performed. It would be expected that significant experience will be achieved in operative obstetrics including rotational forceps and also training in assisted reproduction with consulting and performance of procedures.
This position is an outstanding opportunity to gather practical and operative skills and is well regarded by those who have previously occupied the role. There is no requirement for weekend on call.
Albury Wodonga has one of Australia’s largest inland populations and provides an excellent lifestyle with a wide variety of sporting and recreational activities. The catchment population for Obstetrics & Gynaecology is 250,000. There are two specialists registrars attached to the unit.
Salary and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the AMA Vic Doctors in Training Enterprise Agreement 2018-2021.
Successful applicants will be required to complete appropriate Criminal Record Screening paperwork/processes in order for AWH to meet its obligations regarding screening for serious criminal offences (within and external to Australia).
