About the role

Fixed term temporary full time opportunity to provide high quality, cost efficient and effective clinical and non-clinical services to directly or indirectly benefit the patients/clients of Metro North Health.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Clinical Directors of Departments are expected to demonstrate leadership qualities and have a significant role in managing and planning within their service lines and departments, and to provide a leadership role model for other staff.
  • Oversee and lead the clinical governance of the Department and ensure best practice.
  • Collaboratively contribute to monitoring and managing the budget and actual performance for Activity (WAU), Staff (FTEs) and Costs ($) and Quality for the Department, including patient safety, incident management, future planning and budgeting.
  • Undertake performance appraisal PDP and KPI monitoring of other senior doctors within the department.
