Job Description

Applications are invited for a 2-year Fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic and Pelvic Floor Surgery commencing February 2026. This AGES Accredited Fellowship will be at the Townsville University Hospital, the only tertiary hospital in Northern Australia. Only candidates that are in their Advanced years of RANZCOG training preferably Year 6, SIMG’s or post-Fellowship, need apply. Applicants should have completed all RANZCOG ITP training and research requirements or have SIMG equivalence. Prior experience in an Advanced Endoscopic Unit, with research and teaching experience will be an added advantage. There may be an opportunity to pursue a Higher Degree via coursework/research and apply for an adjunct appointment with James Cook University.  

The timelines for this application are detailed below:

1.     Applications open 15/5/25 and close 5/6/25

2.     Shortlisted applicants will be interviewed with dates to be advised (mid to late June)

3.     The successful applicant will be notified on the day following the interview

4.     The appointee will apply to the THHS via the QLD Health RMO Campaign for 2025 which opens early to mid-June
