Job Description

Genea Fertility, a leading Australian fertility clinic with over 35 years of experience, is seeking a dedicated 3rd Year Fellow in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (CREI) to join our team in Newcastle.

Position Overview

As a 3rd Year CREI Fellow at Genea Newcastle, you will contribute to our clinical and research activities in reproductive medicine while furthering your subspecialty training. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and learn from industry leaders in fertility treatment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in clinical duties, including patient consultations and fertility treatments
  • Contribute to ongoing research projects under senior supervision
  • Assist in complex endoscopic surgeries
  • Attend and actively participate in hospital meetings and educational lectures
  • Provide senior registrar cover in obstetrics and gynaecology, including out-of-hours services
  • Engage in continuous quality improvement activities

Qualifications and Requirements

  • FRANZCOG or equivalent
  • Successful completion of the first two years of CREI subspecialty training
  • Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Commitment to ongoing medical education and research
  • Current knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory requirements

  • Previous success in the RANZCOG national CREI program selection interview
  • Commitment to continuous improvement of patient outcomes
  • Self-awareness of professional limitations
  • Experience in initiating and managing original research in gynaecology
