Job Description
OGB Surfcoast is pleased to offer a training position as a Senior Registrar in Gynaecology for 2025. OGB and OGB Surfcoast provides over 2500 Gynaecology procedures for our patients per year in a group practice setting, with a significant number of procedures being performed through the public system. This position provides the Trainee with the opportunity to work in an environment which provides intensive and consistent training in the areas of complex laparoscopic surgery, including laparoscopic hysterectomy, complex site specific pelvic floor surgery and Gynaecological ultrasound encompassing assessment and diagnosis of endometriosis.
OGB is integrated with Ballarat IVF and an established opportunity exists for our Senior Registrar to develop valuable skills in infertility management and Assisted Reproduction.
The successful applicant can also expect to gain highly valued experience and direct teaching regarding the business perspectives of working in private practice.
We are willing to consider flexible working arrangements for this position from 3 to 5 days a week.

OGB provides private Obstetric care for over 500 women per year. There are also approximately 1500 births per year at Grampians Health, Ballarat, and our Senior registrars will have the opportunity to contribute to this public service. Our Obstetric training opportunities include Team based care, intensive consultant support, and an emphasis on complex operative Obstetrics, such as, Kjellands forceps deliveries.
