Job Description

Permanent full-time position available, 80 hrs p.f.

Remuneration up to $447,016 p.a.

We are looking for an exceptional Obstetrics and Gynaecology consultant to join our Women's and Children's Services department within the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service.

Training in advanced obstetric ultrasound such as Diploma of Diagnostic Ultrasound (DDU), Certification in Obstetric and Gynaecological Ultrasound (COGU) or Maternal Fetal Medicine subspecialisation is required.

SCHHS Salary includes:

  • Base salary comprising of between $8,062.00 – $10,221.70 p.f.
  • Motor vehicle allowance
    • L18 - L24 $21,000 p.a.
    • L25 – L27 $25,500 p.a.
  • Attraction and Retention Allowance up to 50% of base salary
  • Professional development allowance $21,500 p.a.

Senior Medical Officer (Maternal Fetal Medicine and Obstetrics (MFM)) position joins a growing Obstetrics and Gynaecology department at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH). This position is responsible for providing high quality Maternal Fetal Medicine and Obstetrics management as well as advanced subspecialty services across the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS).

Mandatory requirements:

  • Possession of a medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a registered tertiary institution.
  • Current registration (or be eligible for registration) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) to practice in the Specialty of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) (or equivalent) or assessment of substantial comparability by the college in Specialty of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
  • Has undertaken training in advanced obstetric ultrasound such as Diploma of Diagnostic Ultrasound (DDU), Certification in Obstetric and Gynaecological Ultrasound (COGU) or Maternal Fetal Medicine subspecialisation.
  • Your employment with SCHHS is subject to you obtaining and maintaining credentialing relevant to your role.
