Location:                                           Women’s and Children’s Services, Mackay Base Hospital 

 

Remuneration:                  

Remuneration value up to $167,346 p.a. comprising salary between $4,822.20 p.f. - $5,591.00 p.f. (L4-L9); employer superannuation contribution (up to 12.75%), annual leave loading (17.5%). Applications will remain current for the duration of the vacancy. Job Ad Reference: MK563301.

Your opportunity 

This role is required to participate in the provision, development, and maintenance of an effective, efficient, and equitable clinical service to hospital clients; and contribute to the continual improvement of medical education and dissemination of knowledge to staff and clients. 

Your role  

·        Provide medical care under the supervision and direction of senior medical staff. 

·        Document relevant clinical information accurately, concisely, and legibly inpatient charts. Ensuring discharge summaries and other correspondence are completed with minimum delay and that all such correspondence is complete prior to leaving the unit. 

·        Conduct interviews, examinations and the identification of clinical problems including day to day review of patients. 

·        Arrange investigations, surgical treatment, medical treatment, and discharge as directed by the assigned consultant. 

·        Provide assistance with surgical procedures and outpatients clinics as directed by the Consultant to which assigned. 

·        Provide support for junior and senior medical staff as required. 

·        Assist with case presentations at teaching meetings where necessary. 

·        Participate in clinical meetings undertaken within the appropriate clinical unit. 

·        Participate in after-hours shift roster as required by the Clinical Director, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. 

·        Participate in continual professional development and medical education.
